I settled on the omakase, and it started out great with a kanpachi salad. The chef explained the dish. And then I was served the rest of the course on a platter. I wasn't expecting a boat for an omakase experience, but it is what it is. Fish quality is decent but the lack of premium selections on the course was disappointing. I also felt the individual pieces were also smaller. I miss the experience of the chef curating each offering and explaining the piece and each piece complementing and enhancing the experience. I was curious and asked for the oyster as I was ending the course. The server brought the dessert before the oyster and it sat there for a full five minutes while I waited. The oyster itself was sublime, but the yuzu cheesecake was not. It was still slightly frozen and missing something. Part 2: Came back for the hamachi kama and the tuna course. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of tuna course. The kama was decent. The value was super, 16$ for a huge collar. U could be full just having that alone. Again they need to work on their serving. Towards the end they suddenly remembered to serve me the tuna roll. Problem was it had been sitting awhile an

Craving sushi and tried this place. It did not disappoint. Started off with the spicy garlic edamame really good with the right amount of spice. I always lean toward sushi rolls thats are spicy so I ordered the fire in the hole roll which had habanero sauce added. It was delicious. So the meal was way above average, however their tea situation was well below average. They were completely out of green tea and something was up that they couldn't make a 1/2 and 1/2 sweet/unsweet tea. Unfortunate. Also what going on with the grand opening signage still prominently displaced on the front of the building? Haven't they been open long enough to not be grand opening? Brass tacks, I would recommend Kai Sushi to sushi lovers. Great food. God bless kdub out.

A place to try! Excellent sushi options, high quality, good portions. The place is small and you can tell the chefs care about the details. The fish combinations were seasoned perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Toro combo, daughter loved the unagi hand roll, we also tried other options not offered at other places in the dfw area.

My husband and I tried Kai Sushi today, and wow—they absolutely exceeded our expectations! This place is easily one of the best sushi spots we’ve visited in a long time. Everything was incredibly fresh, served promptly, and delicious from start to finish. We mainly ordered from the rotating board behind the sushi chefs, which made the experience even more fun and engaging. The service was friendly and attentive, the restaurant spotless, and overall, everything felt just right. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend Kai Sushi highly enough! Favorites: Otoro, Uni, and the cool tasting plates

Our favorite sushi spot! Everything is fresh and the flavor combinations are excellent. Staff is very attentive and helpful. The quality is just as good when dining in or ordering delivery. I recommend the hamachi collar hot appetizer, ikageso, Leo roll, and volcano roll. Really anything.
